Jenny Chu | Co-Founder, Director & DJ Nyxx
Jenny Chu is a professional dancer, choreographer, heels instructor, and DJ known for her dynamic presence and versatility across Boston’s dance and nightlife scenes. She began her dance journey at age eight in her hometown of Randolph, MA, training in jazz and tap at The Gold School. After moving to Boston to pursue her master’s degree in nursing, her passion for dance expanded to include Urban, Latin, Afrobeats, Shuffle, and Heels styles.
During her studies, Jenny competed and performed with MIT’s Ridonkulous and Northeastern University’s Revolve dance crews. She served as Artistic Director for Revolve’s 2016–2017 season and contributed choreography to both crews’ competitive sets for World of Dance Boston and Prelude New England.
In 2018, Jenny transitioned into nightlife entertainment, beginning her go-go dance residency at Scorpion Bar Boston. She later became a resident performer at Royale, where she was an active Royale Doll until 2022. That same year, she was selected as an Ultra Angels finalist and co-founded Onyxx Performance Group, a Boston-based entertainment company dedicated to empowering womxn through performance, creativity, and collaboration.
Jenny launched her own heels classes in 2019 to create a supportive space where students could express themselves and build confidence both inside and outside the studio. In 2020, she was selected to join RAW, an international arts organization, and showcased her heels choreography at RAW Boston.
Expanding her creative expression beyond dance, Jenny now performs as DJ Nyxx, bringing her movement-driven perspective and deep understanding of nightlife energy behind the decks. Her open-format sound moves effortlessly across genres, blending Latin and Reggaeton, Brazilian funk, Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, and nostalgic throwbacks. Guided by rhythm, musicality, and an instinct for what makes a crowd move, her sets balance familiar favorites with unexpected transitions and high-energy moments designed to keep the dance floor alive.
Outside of the entertainment industry, Jenny works as a pediatric nurse practitioner at a community health center, with a particular interest in adolescent health. She brings the same dedication, adaptability, and passion for connection to her work in healthcare as she does to her creative pursuits.
Allie Morales, Executive Assistant
Allie is a professional dancer, performance artist, and instructor originally from DeForest, Wisconsin. Her passion for dance and performance began in her early childhood, and she owes much of her technical expertise to her training at A Step Above Dance & Music Academy and Storybook Ballet. After years of assistant teaching, performing competitively, and teaching dance for the DeForest Parks and Recreation, she decided to expand her dance knowledge at the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities. Allie graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance and a minor in Health and Wellness Promotion in May 2020. While in school, she completed an arts administration internship at Lundstrum Performing Arts, fulfilled a teaching dance practicum with Ballare Teatro, curated a dance and visual art collaboration show, and choreographed works for countless composition showings. She was also selected to perform in pieces by renowned choreographers, such as Robert Moses, Pramila Vasudevan, Eko Supriyanto, and Chris Schlichting. She was the featured soloist in Robert Moses’ “Cause” in December 2019, and the piece was selected to compete at the American College Dance Association. Since graduating, Allie has performed professionally with Onyxx Performance Group, Metamorphosis Dance Company, TEN31 Productions, The Boston She Party, Forty Steps Dance, Madison Contemporary Dance, and with freelance choreographers such as Sabrina Yachkouri and Mica Romulo. Allie also enjoys sharing her passion for movement with the next generation, and she has taught and choreographed for both recreational and competitive programs nationwide for students ages two through adult.
As a member of Onyxx Performance Group since the very first audition, Allie has seen firsthand the great value in connecting with communities through dance, empowering and providing financial opportunities for womxn, and building a supportive sisterhood. Filled with gratitude for the opportunities, friendships, and growth that has come of her time with Onyxx, she is thrilled to give back by supporting the team administratively.
